Loretta's First Photo Shoot

I met sweet Loretta last month at her home in Chicago.  Newborns are so incredibly precious, and I always consider it an honor to be invited to your home to photograph your brand new baby.  I absolutely love incorporating a few of your own trinkets in a session, and this was no exception.  Momma was looking for a classic look, so I kept everything super simple.  The faux fur worked perfectly with her dreamy skin tones, and the hair bow was a perfect touch!  We even got to take advantage of the gorgeous day and briefly ventured out into their neighborhood for a few family shots.  Here are just a few of my favorites.  If you're viewing from a mobile device, don't forget to click on the individual photo for better resolution!

Hannah's Senior Session in the Wildflowers

All I can say is - WOW - and you will too!  Hannah is Class of 2014, and also one of my daughter's favorite people, because she paints her fingernails almost every time they see each other.  I was excited for her session; we bumped it up an entire week to be sure we could take advantage of the wildflowers in bloom. We had so much fun taking her photos that she already told me she wants to have more photos taken in the fall colors - her favorite time of year!  I couldn't get Tom Petty's "Wildflowers" song out of my head while I was editing these.   You'll understand why if you peek below...

Mason & Gracie at the Blue Barn

If you are a Facebook fan, you already know that these two are unbelievably photogenic!  I had been hoping to use the beautiful slate blue barn for a session ever since I spotted it last spring.  Luckily, the owner is a very gracious man who didn't mind us setting up shop there for a bit.  We had pretty bows, berets, bubble-blowing, flower pots, and mohawks!  Most importantly, we had a lot of fun on a beautiful summer morning.  Enjoy!

Happy Easter!

Easter is just around the corner....

....have you found your eggs yet?

I had a lot of fun at the Easter Minis this year.  Here is a glimpse of the beautiful faces I got to see thru the lens...siblings, step-siblings, and even cousins!

We played with eggs, licked lollipops, bounced balls, and ran all around the set.

I had fun asking them if they like candy sprinkles on spaghetti, chocolate covered mac n cheese, or turkey on their donuts.  When all else failed, fart noises always worked at getting a smile!
